Thank you for your great input. I have noticed that people around me don't do well on their own and they find it strange that I, on the contrary, can amuse myself quite well on my own. I think this is a result of my detached childhood in school.
I like companionship, but sometimes I even relish at being by myself, not having to take someone else in account. Privacy is a big thing to me. I don't like people looking in my phone, or going through stuff on my laptop. I always have passwords and I never let anyone look over my shoulder unless I want them to. It's not because I have something to hide, but because it's mine and therefore my decision to share.
I once got very angry because a friend had read through my personal journal/diary without my permission. I admit I even fidget when people go through my Ipod to see which music I like. I guess that's still some sort of after effect I have from being criticized so many times in the past.
I've never had the urge to cling onto someone and people's attempts to cling onto me makes me back off immediately. I guess I'm an animal that requires a patient approach, haha.
I'm not afraid to chat someone up, I'm just usually afraid they make a move before I've had time to make up my mind.
Thanks for your advice. You're right when you say that if you want someone worthy, you have to be it yourself first.
