Arthropod or mites infections are rarely talked about, (except for Lyme from ticks; Malaria/West Nile from mosquitos; or bed bugs). Internal mite infections can be a part of the parasitic problem that has been unrecognized. They show up in sputum, feces, urine and can infect organs; as usual, better test recognition is necessary.
As promised to Smuse (and a few others), I've been collecting information for posting on parasitic mites that have been infecting people. Internal mites can be acquired from zoonosis (birds, mice, dogs, cats, and other animals), food infestation, plants, and environment.
In starting off this Series below is general information and then I'll present various findings as the posts progress.
