Native indians have a similar albeit much better way of choosing their leaders: they first ask their women who raised the tribe's children to point to those who always showed integrity, friendliness and support as kids. Then they ask men of the tribe to point to those who showed same values including bravery and wisdom as they were growing up and going hunting and so on. Then the oldest people of the tribe get together, men and women, and they discuss and discuss and they choose their next leader. It is certainly not a democracy as it excludes those less experienced and more naive from the process. And that's exactly why it works so well.

Trying to establish a system where someone's integrity is measured would only lead to more evil: just like todays credit score is used to abuse the system, so it would be with "integrity score".

As for current crisis and borrowers taking advantage, it was more banks taking advantage, just read up on it a little. Borrowers were promised impossible things, and given loans they should have never been given. That's "predatory lending". But that's not the reason for economic collapse, although it is a good excuse.

The real reason is as always: banks manipulating the system. Leaders of those banks are corrupt beyond comprehension and are strictly working for evil. They don't know that in the end all the power and money they were after will be lost and their own evil ways will distroy them too.

If you look at any evil organization, you will see that all it's followers were distroyed by the very leaders they worshipped, and in the end even those leaders got distroyed too!

When Hitler came to power, he didn't hesitate to kill his own private troops to get the german army on his side. Then later, towards the end of the war, when he was confronted with the fact that Germany was loosing, and that it may perish, he said that - if Germans loose, they desrved to die!
And the final result was the he died himself.

Evil always tries to overpower the good, and in the process will distroy itself.

Then the process starts over again. History repeats itself. People will again be blindly seduced by those in power, and those in power will be seduced by evil, and evil will distroy them all including itself... the cycle on this planet seems to last many thousands of years, longer then recorded history, which is why no one learns from it. Some records have been kept and it seems that some may be found at the last moment, when people are open to that truth. It was left for us as a warning.
