108005, I am not going to deny that there aren't unfit gay parents. That is a fact. Just as there are unfit heterosexual parents. But in most cases, the sexuality has nothing to do with it. I will agree that the "ultimate" setting of a child is to grow up with a female and male set of parents. There is something that each uniquely has to bring. But we don't live in a prefect world. I have experienced firsthand too many bad situations with heterosexual married coupled raising children, so I can say ultimately the deciding factor should be love. A child is probably better off with a gay couple that will love and raise them in a good environment then they are with a heterosexual couple who gives them the opposite. How many heterosexual couples do you know that have gotten divorced, or there was spousal abuse, or the husband was a bum or drug/alcohol abuser etc. etc.??? The highway is littered with them.
