I have heard of research being done in England using therapeutic-grade essential oils to treat MRSA. Below are some notes I took down concerning this research:
MRSA and other Staph Infections
Some results from research being done in England using therapeutic-grade essential oils.
1. MRSA and E-Coli destroyed in 2 minutes with essential oils; Patchouli, Geranium, Melaleuca alternifolia and Lavender.
2. MRSA staph infection in the bone was gone between the 2nd and 3rd month using essential oils; Melaleuca alternifolia, Eucalyptus radiata, Clove and Lemongrass. These essential oils were used topically and internally.
3. Twenty-Two cases of MRSA were killed using Melaleuca alternifolia and Eucalyptus radiata.
4. Essential oils shown to be effective against fighting MRSA and other staph infections; Melaleuca alternifolia, peppermint, geranium, cinnamon, orange, grapefruit, patchouli, lavender, lemongrass, thyme, eucalyptus radiata, spearmint, myrtle, lemon, clove, mountain savory.
5. Essential oils blends that would be helpful when dealing with MRSA / Staph infections; Thieves, Exodus II, Melrose, Longevity, Inner Defense. Thieves essential oil blend with oregano and thyme added.
The question of how much to take/use can only be answered by individual circumstance. Things that will make a difference in how much and how long; Some things to consider about your body’s condition: The more inflammation, acid, mucus in your body, the more essential oil you need to get the results you are looking for.
