I initially used Grapefruit-Seed-Extract with water for the irrigation. At the start I added 15 drops. The burning was pretty bad and my fear was that the fungus ( my ENT did a swab culture of my right max sinus after a cat scan showed that cavity full of thick mucous. I told her I had a technique where i could rid the cavity of this thick phlegm. She arranged to have a film shot before and after this technique. sure enough the cavity full in one shot and empty in next shot. She swabbed the sinus immediately after the film shot which showed the cavity empty. The swab cultured both candida and aspergillus) was entering my eye socket and brain area. It burned for about 3 or 4 minutes and it was a kick*ss burn in the eyes and between the eyes. During the process my eyes watered extensively. Onc the burning subsided a bit I upped the dosage. I went as high as 35/40 drops of GSE.

ACV=Apple Cider Vinegar. This is the solution I now prefer for sinus irrigation. I use a tablespoon and the first time I used it the burning sensation returned. I find after using the ACV I breathe amazingly well. I also drink it (1 tbsp to 8 oz) which also lights you up the first few times.

I have used the nasal spray Colloidal Silver and am using it now but am disappointed with it. On a search I performed for Colloidal Silver it mentioned if using this in irrigator solution refrain from using salt.

I have been on Lamisil (90days) and now sporanox (2 weeks) and am definitely improving. I was forced into seeing an infectious disease specialist and he changed me to sporanox because it supposedly does a better job with aspergillus. My official diagnosis is AFS/ABPA. He made the mistake of telling me the diet didn't matt3r because the sporanox would kill the fungus. I immediatley headed for candy and coke, burgers and fries. I splurged for a little under a week. It didn't take long before I was struggling breathing so now I am back on the diet.

The diet is a pain but I can live with it. Its hard to live when you can't breathe.
