Unfortunately it is not as innocent as that. I certainly agree that "drugs" may have played a role, not just anti-anxiety drugs but also what the chimp was on for lyme disease. But... she had been warned many times by people that were concerned that an incident might occur (there had been other incidents without the violence)... and she did nothing. Obviously she loved him, and there is no crime in that, but the more I read and the more that comes out about it, she certainly has a pretty big load to bear. In my mind, some action needs to be taken. I am not saying jail... but something. Fortunately I read today that Congress is in the midst of passing regulations regarding some of the wild animals kept as pets. Leave em' in Africa, or a wildlife sanctuary. WTF is a chimp doing living in persons house on the East Coast?
