I have switched my dog off the commercial food. He pretty much won't eat it anymore. I was spending $15/wk a big 20# bag of dog food. I now buy chicken leg quarters for .99/#. Buy big bulk 5-6# packs, and then split it for two meals. When I priced it out it cost me only about $5 more to feed him chicken. I have trouble doing the barf thing especially with the bones. I put some carrots, and Celery in the food processor, and mix like 3/4 cup with the cooked chicken w/ the knuckles. He seems to be doing great, lots of energy but have been battling the skids. I usually give him some Dr S #2, and that slows it down, but hate to do that for ever.. Any suggestions
