I have had my mirena for 5yrs and will have it removed tomorrow. I have experienced many different health issues (mood swings, weight gain, hypertension, vision changes, anxiety, numbness in hands and fingers, etc.) since having the mirena, but never thought these could have been contributed by the MIRENA until reading this site! I really believed that all these things where just changes in my health and I just dealt with them as they came! I was one of the few who heard nothing but the positive about the Mirena, so I just believed any health issues could not be because of it.

I must say now I am looking forward to seeeing what life will be like without the Mirena. Maybe my body will go back to its normal pre-mirena state, you know before the blood pressure pills and the weight gain:)

I wish you luck with your Mirena and hope things continue to get better for you.
