Hi Roooth,
I love the program, it has come very easy to me and I enjoy it very much. I even joined an Eat To Live team on sparkpeople.com. I feel great really, lots of energy, no afternoon naps needed like i was taking.
I think the main thing i am missing is my occasional shake of salt on my cooked vegetables. Besides that, simple.
I never liked milk, so that was easy, dairy was never a big issue except for cheese, but I have not had it, and not craving it at all.
I bought some soy milk today to let my son try it, and he liked it, so he will be drinking that if he wants milk from now on. He has always had really bad nasal congestion in the mornings, and i believe it is from the dairy products.
I ate lots of salad today with cauliflower, carrots, iceberg and romaine lettuce, along with sunflower seeds and a light dressing (my only no no), some beans at lunch time, and some cooked turnip greens with some mushrooms, yummy!
This is my evening snack...
Grapes, pineapple, apple, and strawberry.
I have not noticed any detox so far, but today I did notice a bit of a sore throat, just slightly, and a little pain behind my right earlobe, behind my ear, possible mucus drainage?
My "recipes" are basic stuff. I am not a very complicated person when it comes to meals. usually fresh fruit, a salad of sorts, and some sort of cooked greens in the evening... very simple and easy, i prefer it that way personally.
Besides I am still cooking additional items for the family, so I try to make whatever i eat, a little less complicated.
Funny though, the old man is interested in a few of the things I eat, he said he would try cooked cauliflower, and he was dipping into my fruit bowl, lol. He is coming around, but made it very clear to me he will not give up meat, or cow milk, lol.
Hope all is well for you.
