Hello. I do not have much knowledge about urine therapy. However, I decided to reply anyway, because I do personally have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in the area of internal cleanliness and the root cause of most all disease, including diverticulitis.
Urine therapy could indeed help your friend, but in my opinion, would only provide temporary relief, unless the root cause is cleared out first. Uneliminated waste becomes impacted and infectious over time in most individuals who have poor diets and a lifetime of accumulated, uneliminated waste. The root cause of diverticulitis is overwhelmingly a clogged colon and impacted fecal matter and other waste products throughout the entire eliminative system.
You could easily save your friend's life by advising the following: Vitamin Cottage (and very likely available on the web as well) carries a product called "Men's Rebuild Internal Cleansing" by Yerba Prima. It comes in a box which contains three jars of different herbs as well as bentonite. I have personally tried it, and it works extremely well, and is gentle. It is taken over a period of three weeks doing the stronger cleanse, and over about twice that long doing the gentler cleanse. My sincere belief is that your friend would experience some relief almost immediately upon beginning to take these herbs. However, since time is of the essence, it might be better to purchase Dr. Schulze 's 5-day bowel cleansing herbal formulas. I've never used the Schulze products myself, but he has documented many cases of diverticulitis which have been absolutely healed by a thorough colon and intestinal cleanse.
I am not in sales, or affiliated in any way with either of these companies. I work in electronics. I have nothing to gain here except saving your friend from surgery which is in all likelihood not only totally unnecessary, but which will be detrimental to him in the long run.
Your friend has nothing to lose by trying this, and everything to gain. Diverticulitis is caused by so much impacted feces and other waste (mucus, etc.) remaining in the digestive/eliminative organs for so long that it becomes infected. Cleansing himself internally in this way is almost sure to not only obviate the need for surgery, but to provide an actual foundation for a permanent cure.
Possibly, urine therapy could then be used to further heal this man.
Good luck and may your friend be healed and enjoy a lifetime of wellness.
