yeah, i would definitely describe it as tension. it's like my entire upper body just won't relax no matter what i do. even my stomach muscles are always tense and uncomfortable. i used to try hanging my head upside down off the side of the bed for some relief. lol that didn't work. just made my husband look at me like i was crazy. (crazier than usual--haha) anyway, i have always clenched my jaw when i get upset, so i can't say that i notice any big differences there. well, except for that fact that i am certainly upset a lot more often. ugh. i just want it out! i couldn't find my strings to remove it myself, so now i'm waiting til i have the money for the appointment. so frustrating! take care, Cantwait. and good luck to all!
