I totally agree with the other posters regarding dealing with the trauma. I would like to add that years of counseling didn't do much until I brought Jesus into the mix. I researched and decided that I truley believed in Him. I prayed to give Him my life. I then set about learning more about Him, and doing what it took to get close to Him.

With God in my life, I engaged in lots of good things - prayer, bible reading, listening to faith building teachings and spiritual based counseling my inner life has been very transformed. I experience way more peace and joy, and I know that helps me physically.
