For the record:
I'm leaning towards the Tapeworm idea for what now is my second batch. I think initially the Ascaris scattered- they moved relatively quickly. I remember when they broke out- [that must cause leaky gut]. I had this clear image of them creating a *chemical expressway* for anything else present to smell along with. Each time the asca ris [edit - or toxicaris] break out and return to feed, they allow a path for anything else present to get out. I think they freed Dwarf tapewoms [Hymenolepis nana].

"The short life span and rapid course of development also facilitate the spread and ready availability of this worm. Congested areas, *day-care center*s, and crowded institutions [shools?, malls] such as prisons frequently have high levels of infection with H nana.

"The ingested eggs hatch in the duodenum, and the oncospheres penetrate only into the villi (Fig. 89-5). There, each oncosphere forms a cysticercoid larva that emerges, 4 to 5 days later, into the gut lumen as a young scolex and neck; the scolex attaches to the mucosa, the neck proceeds to strobilate, and the worm reaches full size in 5 to 10 days.
...Massive infection with several thousand worms may follow autoreinfection.

Then rearranging and adapting text for a dramatized scattering scenario:

The eggs hatch where the adult makes their evil nests or where it dies, and hatchlings penetrate only where they can. There, they emerge, 4 to 5 days later, and can move around, confuzed & hungry, as a young scolex and neck; the scolex feeds where it can, the neck proceeds to grow, and the worm probably doesn't quite reach full size in two weeks..One must prevent further scattering as a priority as..Massive infection with *several thousand worms* may follow autoreinfection.

"The adult worm sheds gravid terminal segments, which disintegrate in the 'intestine', releasing eggs that are 'passed' in the 'feces'.

Well, what if the eggs are viable once scattered?

"Prednisone will scatter a Tapeworm infection if you have *leaky gut* or ulcers in the lining of the gut where these micro-organisms can escape from...A woman was dying and went to the hospital because she was so ill they gave her prednisone, she felt better for 1 month, until scattered eggs had chance to cycle, then she went back to the hospital worse off than before and this time was told she was dying. They couldn't figure out a diagnosis."

*That's* a perfect reason why I do the worm electrocuting thing. I guess the trick is not letting the new ones develop to adulthood.
