For the record:
I'm leaning towards the Tapeworm idea for what now is my second batch. I think initially the Ascaris scattered- they moved relatively quickly. I remember when they broke out- [that must cause leaky gut]. I had this clear image of them creating a *chemical expressway* for anything else present to smell along with. Each time the asca ris [edit - or toxicaris] break out and return to feed, they allow a path for anything else present to get out. I think they freed Dwarf tapewoms [Hymenolepis nana].

*That's* a perfect reason why I do the worm electrocuting thing. I guess the trick is not letting the new ones develop to adulthood.
