I chase the glass of epson salt solution with a full glass (and sometimes 1 1/2 glasses) of distilled water. It gets the nasty taste of out my mouth and seems to dilute the epson salt in my stomach so it doesn't hit it like a lead ball. I also drink water between the doses of epson salts with no problems. The goal is to have lots of water available for flushing the system. By drinking water chasers I found that I don't need to drink the second morning dose of epson salts and I still run to the bathroom regularly till 3 pm (otherwise following Hulda Clark e's regime to the letter).
