7 Reasons To Read The Glorious Qur'an



Intimate: It dares you to disprove it. How? It says that humans cannot write a book like this even if they pooled all their resources together and got help also from the spirits. The Quran said this fourteen hundreds years ago and yet no one has been able to disprove it. Billions of books have been written - but not another one like the Quran.

Incorruptible: It is the only religious sacred writing which has been in circulation for such a long time and yet remains as pure as it was in the beginning. The Quran was kept intact. Nothing was added to it; nothing was changed in it; and nothing was taken away from it ever since it was completely revealed 1400 years ago.

Unsurpassable: The Quran is God's final revelation to humankind. God revealed the Torah to Moses, the Psalms to David, the Gospel to Jesus, and finally the Quran to Muhammad. Peace be upon all of them. No other book will come from God to surpass his final revelation.

Indisputable: The Quran withstands the test of time and scrutiny. No one can dispute the truth of this book. It speaks about past history and turns out right. It speaks about the future in prophecies and it turns out right. It mentions details of physical phenomena which were not known to people at the time; yet later scientific discoveries confirm that the Quran was right all along. Every other book needs to be revised to accord with modern knowledge. The Quran alone is never contradicted by a modern discovery.

Your Roadmap for Life and Afterlife: The Quran is the best guidebook on how to structure your life. No other book presents such a comprehensive system involving all aspects of human life and endeavor. The Quran also points out the way to secure everlasting happiness in the afterlife. It is your roadmap showing how to get to paradise.

Quran: Witness the Miracle

Night after night in Ramadan, the believers witness a unique spectacle at mosques around the world. They stand in special Taraveeh prayers in which the prayer leader will recite the entire Quran from memory. Those who have accomplished this extraordinary feat of memorizing all of the 6246 verses are not a handful of devotees but there are hundreds of thousands of them. Most, just like most Muslims in the world today, do not speak Arabic. Yet they have painstakingly learnt to pronounce each and every word of the Quran correctly. The phenomenon is not a result of some religious resurgence that would pass. From the very first day that the Quran was revealed, it was memorized. And the number of those who have memorized it has been increasing ever since. Memorization of Quran has been going on all through the centuries, all over the globe wherever Muslims are.

There are other religions that claim to possess the Word of
God. There are none that can show a book that has commanded anything remotely comparable to this level of devotion.
Quran is the most read and the only completely memorized book in the whole world. It is also the most studied book in the world. It has stimulated development of entire disciplines of knowledge dealing with its reading, writing, and interpretation. Miraculous as it is, this is not the only unique aspect of the Quran.

Quran was the first book in the Arabic language. Yet fourteen centuries later, its language is as alive as it was when it was revealed. And there is no other example when the very first book in a language became any masterpiece let alone the eternal masterpiece that Quran is.

This Book is meant to command and guide humanity until the end of time. That the passage of fourteen centuries has not made the slightest dent in its language or literary beauty is only one evidence of that unique role; its contents have also been unassailable by the passage of time. It makes statements of scientific facts that Science would discover centuries later but none that Science could ever refute. It tells about ancient history, like the civilization of the 'Aad people in the Empty Quarter of the Arabian desert that no other historical sources, then or since, contain any information about. Yet, its veracity has only recently been verified by scientific discoveries. Above all, it provides a system of beliefs and a code of conduct for life, which is as relevant, illuminating, and true today, as it was fourteen centuries earlier and during all the centuries in between.

The believers know that this Book had to be above space and time because this is the Word of the Creator of space and time. And He has promised that it will always be above space and time. But those who are looking from the outside and are just curious may consider these additional facts:

• Prophet Muhammad, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, did not go to any school, study from any teacher, or even learn how to read and write. He even had no interest in poetry, which was one of the most prized disciplines of his time. Yet suddenly at age forty, he began to recite this marvelous revelation.

• The style of Quran is very distinct from the words of the
Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, himself, which also have been preserved in Hadith collections. His own sayings are embodiments of eloquence, but they have a different style. Moreover, they clearly are the words of a human being. Although never deviating from the truth, they do show human emotions and the effects of the circumstances in which they were said. Quran, on the other hand, never shows the slightest trace of these effects. It always speaks from above.

• It was revealed over a twenty-three year period and covers a very wide range of subjects yet it shows neither a gradual development of style nor any self- contradictions in the voluminous text.

• The twenty-three years of Prophetic life was not a period spent in isolation. He did not retire to a cave to produce this miraculous work. The Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, did spend long periods of time in quiet meditation in Cave Hira before becoming a Prophet. But after Prophethood was conferred upon him, his life was one of constant struggle with the pagans, and later the Jews, of Arabia who spared no effort to stop and persecute him. It was during this period of persecution, wars, campaigns, and solving problems associated with the bringing about of greatest civilizational revolution of all times --- an extremely busy and challenging period --- that Quranic Revelation was also received and compiled.

• The Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, himself was most deeply moved by the Book. He used to stand for hours in solitary midnight prayers reciting from the Book until his feet used to get swollen. How preposterous that one should attempt to attribute the Book to him. Has there ever been another example of somebody getting so moved by his own words?
This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of all the evidence that proves Quran to be the Word of God. Scholars have written books expounding the miracle of miracles that Quran is. But even this small sampler may propel an inquiring mind to go and read the Book himself. To read this Book with an open mind is to believe in it. Those who sincerely seek guidance will find their questions answered, their confusions removed, their problems solved in its pages. From the beginning until the end, every word in the Quran tells the reader that it is the Word of Allah. And those who ignore it do so at their own peril.

"And if you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (if there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true. But if you cannot - and of a surety you cannot - then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones which is prepared for those who reject Faith." [Al-Baqarah 2:23-24]

Miracles of the Qur'an

Qur'an on Meteorology

Meteorologists will tell you that rain clouds form in the following manner:

1) The wind pushes the clouds so that they can begin to converge.
2) The clouds then join and form larger clouds.
3) Updrafts cause these larger clouds to grow vertically, such that they appear stacked up.
4) Drops of water start to accumulate in the newly formed upper parts of the clouds, and when they get heavy enough they fall to the earth as rain.

The Qur'an already summarized this process more than 14 centuries ago, with stunning accuracy, and that too in an age of scientific ignorance:

Do you not realize that God drives the clouds, then gathers them together, then piles them on each other, then you see the rain coming out of them? [Al-Qur'an, 24:43]


Qur'an's Viewpoint On The Big Bang

Advanced methods have recently enabled astronomers to determine that the universe probably started as a very small ball of mass. A violent explosion triggered the gradual and still ongoing expansion of this ball. So what was once together has now been separated.

Not too long ago, the microscope enabled us to discover that life cells are composed mainly of water.

Allah already told us these facts long before anyone else had a, clue.

Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth used to be one solid mass that we exploded into existence? And from water we made all living things. Would they believe? [Al-Qur'an, 21:30]



"Atom and Everything Smaller” Many centuries before the onset of Muhammad's prophethood, there was a well-known theory of atomism advanced by the Greek philosopher, Democritus. He and the people who came after him assumed that matter consists of tiny, indestructible, indivisible particles called atoms. The Arabs too, used to deal in the same concept; in fact, the Arabic word "dharrah" commonly referred to the smallest particle known to man. Now, modern Science has discovered that this smallest unit of matter (i.e., the atom, which has all of the same properties as its element) can be further split into its component parts. This is a new idea, a development of the last century; yet, interestingly enough, this information had already been documented in the Qur'an (Surah Saba', 34:3), which states: "He [i.e., Allah] is aware of an atom's weight in the heavens and on the earth and even anything smaller than that..."




Undoubtedly, fourteen centuries ago that statement would have looked unusual, even to an Arab. For him, the dharrah was the smallest thing there was. Yet, Qur'an clearly states atom (dharrah)... and everything smaller than the atom itself! (protons, electrons, neutrons etc)



Qur'an's Verdict on Honey Bees

In the 16th chapter (Surah an-Nahl 16:68-69) the Qur'an mentions that the female bee leaves its home to gather food. Now, a person might guess on that, saying, "The bee that you see flying around - it could be male, or it could be female. I think I will guess female." Certainly, he has a one in two chance of being right. So it happens that the Qur'an is right. But it also happens that that was not what most people believed at the time when the Qur'an was revealed. Can you tell the difference between a male and a female bee? Well, it takes a specialist to do that, but it has been discovered that the male bee never leaves his home to gather food. However, in Shakespeare's play, Henry the Fourth, some of the characters discuss bees and mention that the bees are soldiers and have a king. That is what people thought in Shakespeare's time - that the bees that one sees flying around are male bees and that they go home and answer to a king. However, that is not true at all. The fact is that they are females, and they answer to a queen. Yet it took modern scientific investigations in the last 300 years to discover that this is the case.

The Qur'an had a 50/50 chance of being right, and the odds were one in two. Yet, it makes another Bull's Eye. Right on the spot yet again!


Is the Qura’an the Book of God-you decide:

Below are facts that mankind has discovered recently, but the Quran mentioned them 1400 years before Einstein, Nostradamus, Darwin or any other human, this makes Mohammed the greatest human mind ever and he clearly said he received the Quran from the Creator of the Universe…God.

The Quran spoke clearly about the relativity of time 1400 years before Einstein!

Science has proved that all forms of life originated in water, this fact was mentioned in the Quran (21.30) 1400 yrs before science discovered it.

Quran (51.47) mentions the expansion of the universe-science discovered this fact 1400 yrs later.

Science found that fruit has sexual characteristics-1400 yrs after the Quran (13.3) stated this fact.

A pulsar is a star that emits a uniform pattern of pulses that reach the earth and their sound resembles knocking, banging or beating. Quran (86.2) mentioned these stars 1400 yrs ago and calls them TARIQ-the star that is rapidly-knocking/banging/beating.

Quran (32.5) says-affairs travel to God (i.e.-through the universe), where the measurement of distance traveled in space per day is 1000 years (of lunar travel)-this calculated in kilometers per second is 299792.5.Science has now proved (1400 yrs after the Quran) that speed (of light) in vacuum is 299792.5 KM/S-also known as the greatest speed C.

Quran (52.6) talks of water that is on fire-it was thought water cannot be set on fire until science found that water sets on fire near mid-ocean ridges due to high temperatures.

Quran (27.40) talks about the speed & transmission of images & sounds within the twinkling of an eye-science is now recognizing this possibility 1400 yrs after the Quran mentioned it.

Quran (21.30) says-the universe + earth were joined together and then separated-today science calls this event the Big Bang and the Quran described this event 1400yrs ago!

The fact that the earth is round was not known until people like Sir Francis Drake (1597) sailed round the world but was stated in the Quran (79.30) 1400 yrs ago.

Quran (31.10) says-the universe was created with invisible pillars-science has now found these pillars (such as gravitational + electromagnetic pillars).

Quran (40.15) talks about the highest degrees-the word highest in Arabic-Rafi-also represents the number 360. Today this number is used in math + science.

THE WORD LAND OCCURS IN THE QURAN 13 TIMES AND THE WORD SEA OCCURS 32 TIMES.
These figures give us accurate data that has only been discovered in modern times----13+32=45: ----------13÷45×100=28.88888889% LAND ON EARTH----------32÷45×100+71.11111111% SEA ON EARTH

Science found that 3 protective veils form around the embryo-the uterine wall, the amniochorionic membrane and anterior abdominal wall. This fact was already mentioned in the Quran (39.6).

QURAN (86.3) talks about stars that pierce holes in the universe. Stars that pierce holes (such as Black holes) have only recently been found by scientists.

QURAN (42.29) SAYS THAT LIFE IS IN OTHER PARTS OF THE UNIVERSE-science now agrees that the Quran is correct and that we may not be alone in the universe.

Quran (42.29) predicts one day we may meet life from other parts of the universe.

QURAN (57.25) SAYS GOD SENT DOWN IRON (TO EARTH FROM A DIFFERENT PART OF THE UNIVERSE)-science has now (1400yrs later) found this to be true.

Quran (57.25) tells us that IRON has great energy. Science has found that to form 1 atom of iron we need about 4 times as much as the energy of the entire solar system.

QURAN (27.88) SAYS-MOUNTAINS AND HILLS (the earths surface)-is moving-science discovered (1400 yrs after the Quran mentioned it) that the earths crust is moving

Quran (27.16) talks about human communication with birds-science is now developing projects to expand on this and sees it as reality 1400 yrs after the Quran mentioned it.

Quran (36.12) tells us God records data digitally; today digital technology is taking over many walks of life1400 yrs later.

Quran (30.1-4) tells us that the lowest land on earth is the Dead Sea Basin. Science found this was the lowest region on earth-around 395 meters below sea level.

QURAN (37.36) SAYS GOD CREATED ALL THINGS IN PAIRS-SCIENCE FINDS THIS TRUE-
E.g.: positive + negative, male + female, matter + antimatter, particle + antiparticle.

Science has found that palm trees can grow from single roots but this fact was mentioned in the Quran (13.4) 1400 yrs before science discovered it.

Quran (16.69) mentions the healing properties of honey-science has now proven that honey has anti-septic properties + properties that are essential for the clotting of blood.

Science discovered that the universe came into existence from nothing-Quran (2.117) already told us that God creates everything from nothing-all he has to do is command it.

Quran (16.68) says-(female) bees build cells-science found this true about female bees.

QURAN (78.6-7) SAYS GOD MADE-THE MOUNTAINS AS PEGS-science has found that mountains act as pegs on e earths surface 1400 yrs after the Quran mentioned it.

Scientific study has shown that seas and oceans have barriers due factors such as salinity and density, this fact was in the Quran 1400 yrs ago (55.19-20).

Science has found that a 23-24 day old embryo resembles a leech in many structural ways; this fact was already mentioned in the Quran (96.2) 1400 yrs ago.

Science found that all celestial bodies have orbits-this fact was already stated in the Quran (21.33).

The Quran (65.12) makes it clear that there are many other earths out there in the universe-science is only just now (1400 yrs later) recognizing that this fact is true.

Charles Darwin got his theory of evolution wrong. The human genome is closest to apes-98% and pigs-95%. Anatomical evidence shows that certain types of apes + pigs evolved + descended from humans and this was clearly stated in the Quran (5.60) 1400 yrs ago.

The Quran (55.33) mentioned space exploration 1400 yrs ago and today it is happening.

Quran (38.36) mentions wind control-1400 yrs later science is exploring on this matter.

Quran (25.59) says God created the universe + earth and everything in space-It was believed space was empty until science found space has interstellar matter/plasma. The fact that space is not empty was stated in the Quran 1400 yrs before science proved it.

Science discovered that before the Big Bang the universe looked like a cloud of smoke but this was stated in the Quran (41.11) 1400 yrs before science stated it.

Scientists found that everything in the universe is programmed to function in specific ways and there is no disorder in the universe-this fact was already mentioned in the Quran 1400 (67.3) yrs ago.

Science has now discovered that one day the universe will collapse and end, this fact was already mentioned in the Quran (21.104) 1400 yrs before science came across it.

Quran (22.5) says-God sends water on earth, and earth begins to stir and swell-science found that when rainfalls on the ground the mineral molecules in the soil get shaken and by their electric currents get ionized-therefore the soil begins to stir and swell.

QURAN (21.32) says God made the sky as a protective roof for earth, science discovered this 1400 yrs after the Quran, that the atmosphere acts as a protective roof for earth.

Below are patterns of the number of times certain words appear in the Quran-

When the earth completes 1 revolution round the sun it fully revolves around itself 365 times while the moon would have revolved round the earth 12 times. 475 earth days= 19 days of the sun. Every 19 lunar years have 7 leap years + 12 normal years

Science discovered that below surface waves are internal waves that cannot be seen by the naked eye. This fact was already mentioned in the Quran (24.40) 1400 yrs ago.

Science understands that one day the space in the universe may become red. This was already clearly stated in the Quran (55.37) 1400 yrs ago.

Quran (21.69), talks about fire that is cool in temperature-science has now (1400 years later) found that there are degrees of heat that are cold in temperature.

Quran (21.104) says when the universe collapses, creation will repeat itself; science is now beginning to understand this.

Science found that mustard seed has to hide in rocks in places where the temperature is too cold to survive-hidden mustard seed was referred to in the Quran (31.16) 1400 yrs ago.

Science has now proven that one day the sun will be no more in our solar system but this fact was mentioned1400 yrs ago in the Quran (36.38).

Quran (27.18) tells us that ants talk + communicate amongst themselves-research has now proved this fact 1400yrs after the Quran mentioned it.

Science found that there are smaller things than atoms-this fact was already in the Quran (34.3).

Quran (55.17) says God is Lord of the 2easts and the 2wests, science found that there are 2 points on the celestial sphere where the ecliptic intersects the celestial equator and that twice a year the sun crosses the celestial equator, when the length of day = night, also known as the vernal equinox or autumnal. Science has also found that there are 2solstice points in the east and 2 in the west.

Quran (77.8) says the lights of the stars will die-science discovered this 1400 yrs later.

THERE ARE HUNDREDS, YES HUNDREDS OF FACTS IN THE QURAN. DO YOU NOT BELIEVE THAT THE QURAN IS THE WORD OF GOD? LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE FACTS AGAIN AND AGAIN AND YOU WILL REALIZE THAT MOHAMMED COULD NOT POSSIBLY KNOW THESE FACTS 1400 YRS AGO IN THE DESERTS OF ARABIA. SCIENCE HAS DISCOVERED THAT THE QURAN SPEAKS THE TRUTH. THE MESSAGE OF THE QURAN IS TO BELIEVE IN GOD. THE TRUTH SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.
