On my first two flushes I drank straight extra virgin olive oil, chased with lemon juice. It was effective, but on my third flush, I couldn't swallow the oil. I gagged every time I tried to swallow some.
Now, I follow this recipe (without any problems at all): I take 1 tbls of epsom salt. A couple hours later I thouroughly mix (emulsify) 1 cup of "extra light" olive oil with 1 cup of FRESH grapefruit juice (I've tried day old juice and it doesn't emulsify.) Then, a second dose of epsom salt. I find this to be very easy to drink (you can't taste the oil.)
The key is to only use extra light olive oil (NOT extra virgin), and to thouroughly emulsify it with FRESH grapefruit juice before drinking it. Any way you can manage to get the oil down will work, but this method makes it much more palatable. If the Epsom Salt bothers you, you can just take a large dose of any magnesium mineral supplement.
