The only way to fast that long is to use juices. It's been 32 days for me on orange juice and I've lost 17 lbs. The longer a fast the metabolism slows down and you lose about half a pound per day. Fasting for weight loss can be awesome but it takes some skills and knowledge to know what you are doing safely.

I recommend you check out the "ask barefoot" forum and read Book I which explains fasting in depth! You will likely not get past day 20 if it's your 1st time fasting on water. I've been doing this for 20 years now and my 1st fast was 24 hours on water with each one following a longer period of time. Fasting is not nearly as easy on water as it is on juice.

The other healthy way to lose the accumulated fat on your body is to eat a Raw Food diet. Read the book called 80 10 10 by Dr. Doug Graham or do some further research on a low fat raw vegan diet. If you want to jump start your weight loss try a week long juice fast on organic fresh squeezed orange juice or 14 days. You will have energy and be able to function while losing weight. On water you'll have no energy feeling lazy & defeated when you have to quit due to exhaustion.

Fasting on water for a toxic person can do some serious damage. It's highly advisable that you clean yourself out prior or you will be rather uncomfortable and could do further damage. The thing with fasting is you will lose weight quickly but once you start eating again the weight can come even quicker.

I understand the desire to lose weight and it sounds like you need to give yourself a break and love your body as it is. Being 5'6 and 140 lbs. is not a big deal unless you have issues. Everything happens for a reason and your created this weight to learn something from it. Kudos that you are ready to let it go just do yourself a favor and use a sound approach.

I recommend a 3 day juice fast then eat 3 days raw. If you can handle more than 3 days on juice do 7 then eat raw vegan for a week. Then do 14 days on juice followed by 14 days of raw vegan low fat of course. Then do 21 days followed by raw vegan meals. This way your metabolism will stay high and you will learn how to eat healthy. Keep increasing your fasting time until you lose all the weight you want.

Water fasting is over rated and you will get better results by following the plan I shared above.
