New skin where there is a wound will be red for a while then it calms down and will become the color of your skin, you might have a slight scar but that too can be resolved by a doctor who works with skin and scars.
You are not your skin your are a wonderful soul who is unique to this world and would be missed if you cut your journey here on earth to soon.
