maybe we should just cry on each others shoulder.

remineralization can take place. i have done it myself, but it takes consistency and i gave up on my teeth a long time ago.

pain is the great motivator here. if you can keep the pain at bay you can keep the dentist away. of course all they can do is more damage. but at this point you can chose to have that damage done and take responsibility for it.

also of course, the dentist will tell you he is your saviour as there is nothing you can do for yourself. thats crap.

first thing you have to do is throw away all your toothpaste, etc. the glycerin in the toothpaste prevents mineral carrying saliva from ever reaching the enamel of your teeth.

i used barefoots tooth powder to remineralize a gumline cavity similar to what you show. i just brushed with baking soda and then packed some of the herbal powder between my cheek and gum, just like snuff, right at the point of the cavity. i didnt notice any difference other than the pain went away. at my next cleaning(i dont even let them do that any more) they scraped away the ugly crust on top to reveal white tooth underneath. they also poked and prodded at it and no ouchie.

i promptly went back to having my hot drinks with honey in them and its been slowly coming back ever since. does that sound dumb? maybe, but the rest of my teeth were already toast. i have had to pull two and i have a couple more that need to be.

its better to keep your own teeth. absolutely no root canals. if you go with composites make sure they are not the kind with fluoride in them. yes, time released fluoride in your dental material. how clever of them.

if your dentist is an idiot, find another one - one you can talk to. good luck with that.

the biggest problem with plastic fillings is they dont last long. then there is the xenoestrogens in the material, the aluminum(although it is embedded so exposure is diminished somewhat by that), the nasty glues, etc.

then comes the real kicker - as you cleanse your body tries to remove everything that isnt supposed to be there, including all metal and other foreign material in the body. this is why amalgams must be first on the list of cleanup for a person just starting. cleansing without removing them only speeds the rate at which they poison you as the body tries to break them down. they do break down and fall out while you soak up all of the debris.

so there is no ideal. a perfect porcelain cap would work. metal, even braces, are never any good.

oil pulling will definitely help with the gums. another little trick my dad learned and employs is pepto bismol. yep, the pink wintergreen flavored stuff. he basically coats the inside of his mouth, especially the gums, and then goes to bed with that stuff still on the gums. in the morning he said he found little black granules like pepper in his mouth. i dont know the action of this, but his dentist declared him healed of periodontal disease by doing this.

let me know if i missed anything, or if you did. ready for that cry now?
