Silica, chromium GTF, trace minerals, magnesium, Vitamin D3, omega 3s and calcium are all inexpensive (sunshine is free!). It is difficult to correct damage already caused by osteoporosis, though a good chiropractor and/or exercises and laying on one's back with the upper portion of the body hanging off the bed for lengthy amounts of time can help correct problems with posture. It would probably be safest for a frail and elderly person to put a smaller offset mattress on the bed and have the upper, crooked portion of their shoulders, neck and head rest on the lower mattress. Water therapy is wonderful too (that means swimming or moving about in a pool or hot tub).
I am not really familiar with red maca. But the name reminds me that red clover has been shown to often be very helpful for osteoporosis and arthiritis too.
