I think, as a survivor of outright abuse, you communicated what happened excellently, and your feelings and his afterwards. He immediately felt awful, and that's very encouraging. Like one person said, would he ever do that again? If so, he needs to go. If not, then okay. Personally, if he likes anal relations, I would let him go. That's me, okay? I was married to three men like that. They all three had men and/or women on the side. So, my experience with that has been very negative. My current estranged husband is an aggressive anal rapist, and that's no label, it's just fact. (I lack the funds for a divorce, as of now.) My first husband raped me anally, to my total shock.
So, I personally don't think people who like that type of activity possess a lot of boundaries that would help them respect yours. Honestly. I would avoid people with that tendency. If you're only allowing it to please him, then it's really not your thing. What else would you like him to do? Flowers in the rain, walking by the creek? That sounds a lot more pleasant. What are you missing out on, when you're allowing something you don't like? Fill in those blanks, and look for that guy.
Lord, help her make the right decision that will give her the happiness she deserves. Even tho' she loves this guy, she needs to love herself more. And find someone who loves her like that. Bless the guy, and help him be the man he needs to be. You can help him change. If he's willing to go the extra mile, to be the man she needs, help her to discern that. Lord, thank you for loving them, and bless them, I pray and lead them close to Your heart of love for them. In Your Name, I pray, amen.
