I've also been making tinctures for years and this is how I make the Lobelia tincture:

I get Lobelia herb & pods from Mountain Rose - I believe it's $28 a pound now.

Also, here's the basic instructions for making Lobelia tincture (according to Schulze) - as you can see by my link above, I altered the 'recipe procedure' and came up with a MUCH stronger tincture. http://healingtools.tripod.com/thns7a.html

I've never heard of using Lobelia seeds in a tincture, but that doesn't mean it's not awesome! Schulze/Christopher recommended using the pods (which contain the seeds). As far as I can find, there is NO place anymore to buy only the pods.
