Sugar
Nicotine
Alcohol
Caffeine
Chemicals (drugs, preservatives , and artificial sweeteners)

It is much easier to do a fast if you have dealt with at least half of these before you start. I quit smoking and using artificial sweeteners a year ago. I used Sugar to a minimum and then only raw sugar.
