Hi Kelley,
Since the normal balance of the metabolism is anabolic in the morning (acidic) and catabolic in the evening (alkaline), when is it best to take the cod liver oil, and the evening prim rose oil? I have routinely taken the cod liver oil in the morning, and the evening prim rose oil in the evening. Am I doing it according to a proper metabolic balance, or do I have it backwards? I have been doing these oils off and on for the past 3 years I guess. Peace, Rena.

Editor's note: in a healthy person, the metabolism is catabolic in the morning an early afternoon (4am to 4pm) and it's anabolic in the other 12 hour period. Meanwhile, the waste product is the opposite and is acidic in the morning and alkaline* in the other half of the day in a healthy person.

*The balance point of urine is actually 6.2 pH, whereas 7.0pH is the balance point for acid/alkaline. So when I say it's alkaline, I'm referring to urine above 6.2 pH which is not technically correct, but it provides the concept of moving towards being less acidic towards alkaline.
