Below please find a link to a page, entitled, "Love and Life Purpose are Intertwined," which highlights the message of various well-known NDE authors and their books.

The most important message of each being that LOVE is our ONLY true purpose. That's it. Not worshiping religion, or going to church. Just loving each other. Religion and church only have their place if they increase Love, which is defined at its core by UNCONDITIONAL LOVE; not "maybe love" - not "I'll only love you if you believe what I do"...not "I'll only love you if you love me." But - UNCONDITIONAL Love.

I placed in CAPS the references to religion - and how it pales in comparison to LOVE.

My favorite quote with regard to this is:

Nowadays many people are looking for purpose in their life as though there were an unconscious craving to seek and do whatever it is they need to do.
