I've just read Dr. Wolcott's book and am on Day 3 of the restricted carb diet to find my "personal fuel mix". I'm trying to bring myself to eat yet more eggs or bacon, and just feel sick because I want something less heavy like oatmeal. My guts feel awful.

I'm questioning whether it's really such a good idea to not only go without things like oatmeal and quinoa (I'm wheat-free, dairy-free except for kefir, and sugar-free already thanks to having been on an anti-candida diet for months), but also almost all vegetables -- even though this is only supposed to last for a week until I start adding carbs back in.

So I'm wondering, has anyone else done the fuel mix diet the way it's recommended in the book? I'm a Mixed Type leaning towards Protein, by the way. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone on this one, thanks!
