Below is a testimony that I just received from one of the members of my yahoo pet forum, Oleandersoup for Pets with regard to colloidal silver.
My Bernese, Pilgrim, who lost a leg to cancer in August, has had a
cyst on his left flank that refused to go away. It was drained last
February and the cytology was benign, but the vet told me at the time
that cysts frequently come back and that it might need to be drained
again in the future.
Initially, the drained cyst flattened out somewhat, but over time it
became infected and inflamed, and between that and draining the pus
repeatedly, it developed into a sizable bump of mostly necrotic
tissue. I tried the poultices, etc, recommnded by the vet, but this
thing wouldn't shrink and periodically drained a little blood,
although not any more pus.
Last month it was pretty big again and leaking a fair amount of
blood, so we went to the new vet, who told us that it had only a
teeny bit of cystic fluid, mostly is was this nasty black necrotic
tissue that just wouldn't heal.
Well, after the vet had done her best to reduce the cyst, it kept
swelling up and looking nasty. It didn't seem that the vets had any
useful solutions, so I just wiped up any blood that seeped out and
kept an eye on it to make sure it wasn't infected. Finally, I saw on
this site someone recommnded colloidal silver for cysts.
Last Friday, I daubed a little liquid colloidal silver on the cyst
twice a day and continued doing it two or three times a day. The
area was very goopy and the discharge of blood increased, but the
cyst did seem to be shrinking a little, so I kept applying colloidal
silver and covering the area with a clean pad (not easy with a
Bernese). Tuesday I found a gel with colloidal silver in it and
spread a little bit of that on the cyst midday and in the evening.
Yesterday morning, the area was extremely gooey and bloody, it looked
like an enormous scab forming, but the cyst definitely seemed
smaller, so I figured it was the tissue liquifying. I left it open
to the air to see if that would help it dry out.
At noon I wiped away the goo and spread a little more gel on it. The
cyst was flattened, but still a substantial amount of tisse, about
the size of a quarter and twice as thick. I met a friend for coffee
and came back 3 hours later - the cyst was gone. Gone - there was a
lot of liquid in Pilgrim's fur and the area looked raw, but the only
thing showing where that cyst had been was a little circle. This
morning even that was gone and now the area is raw but clean and
pink, it just looks like a huge scrape.
I know this is a very long post, but I want people to know in detail
how quickly and thoroughly this stuff works. After Pilgrim endured
multiple vet visits, antibiotics, having needles stuck into it to
drain fluid and countless times of having it cleaned with hydrogen
peroxide over the course of more than a year, in six days that cyst
went from the size of a jawbreaker to nothing. It will take a few
more days for the area to dry out, but that thing is gone and if it
ever comes back, I know I can get rid of it quickly and easily.
