This is very true in Australia as well (medicare and pbs), Anti-depressants were the most prescribed drug in Australia last year. Most of the people who were prescribed these drugs were able to buy them cheaply on the pbs. People seem to treat the taking of these drugs as an everyday thing like they were taking a vitamin or something harmless. I find this very frightening, its hard to know what people's personalities are really like because so many are affected by drugs now.
