I agree blackngold. I don't think fasting is a magic bullet either, it's just how our bodies naturally react to our lovely planet which we call earth when there's no food around. I think it does have cleansing and healing effects though, because animals fast when they are ill. We probably would do if we weren't brainwashed by TV adverts. For me it was just a way to lose weight, which suited my circumstances, being a lazy git and all that. But I do care about people, and I can see what a dangerous precedent I have set for those who shouldn't try to fast but try and follow me anyway, regardless. I may comment more later, I am going to bed now, but thanks for your comments.
