Thank God for Islam, here we hug and kiss all the time. We can be affectionate with the children or each other. We greet another one of the same sex with three kisses on the cheeks. It is normal to show extreme love for our children in public with no one looking at you. Normal for two men or two women to walk around with hugging or holding hands.
