great grandma was diagnosed with Breast Cancer (large open wound too)... refused surgery and any other treatments... lived over 25 years longer passing away in her mid-80's.

All the people I personally know who refuse or choose a less aggressive mainstream approach to a cancer diagnosis, seem to fair far better and enjoy a higher quality of life.
