Sorry, the equations don't change. Both involve sodium chlorite that is activated with citric acid .

The difference is in the concentrations. Jim Humble found in his testing that those two concentrations are the same. If you take the time to mix them up, you can verify what I am saying.

You might even want to email Jim Humble and ask him why he lied about the concentrations of chlorine dioxide in the doses...
