i weathered the gossip for nearly two years, recently came under some heavy pressure by mutual friends to get over it and "work with her"

so, upon request, I invited her to a gathering at my home, because others wanted her to be there

she offered to stir the gravy and burned it
she ridiculed my choice of food
she brought someone with her who was obviously allied with her against me
that person taunted me
