Hydrogen peroxide is nothing more than water with another atom of oxygen. This isn't the food grade stuff I'm talking about. I get my hydrogen peroxide at the grocery store, but the drug stores carry it. I have the Waterwise distiller that I use on top of the stove. I get one of those little, green, plastic pad scrubbers and clean mine. You can get them at the grocery store. No metal scrubbers because they probably would leave scratches. It cleans better if I heat it up with the water and hydrogen peroxide in it. If you're talking about the electric ones, the scale deposit might be hard on the machine's operation. I'm not sure if it would burn out faster or not. Doc has one and probably others do, too.
