I read something today that got me thinking - a debate in Congress over to either a.) establish tougher OSHA penalties, or b.) advance programs for injury prevention. (See Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass. vs. Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo comments recently). Like I said, it got me thinking. One side of the arguement was saying increasing penalties will help reduce workplace deaths; another was saying that prevention of workplace injuries rather than just punishments should be discussed. I realize this site is about mold and what we do to be deal with mold and some might argue that this isn't the place for this discussion, but in my mind part of all of this in the first place is safety and health. So, having said all of that (whew!), I would like to hear what everyone out there does or sees done at work to reduce injuries, promote better health and safety, (most especially mold related) and things they would like to see changed (maybe both at work and in government). Anyone?
