Hi everybody. I need some advice. I am planning to go to school to learn to become a holistic nutritional consultant. However, I am not sure it is a good idea because every school that teaches holistic nutritional consulting says that most people when they graduate start out being self-employed for themselves. I can't understand this? How can you just start out as soon as you graduate from school to become a self-employed holistic nutritional consultant when you don't even have any "working experiences" in this career?? I mean to me it would make sense to first work for someone like a wellness center to get your "working experinces first" and to make a name for yourself before you just start out with your own business? How can you just start out with your own business as soon as you graduate because after all people would never have heard of me and I wouldn't have any creditials or working experiences to get clients. I believe I would first have to work with a wellness organization before I just start out my own business. But the odd thing to me is when I do a search in the internet to find companies/places that hire holistic nutritional consultants, they are no where to be found? Don't any wellness centers, gyms and so on hire holistic nutritional consultants to work for them? I realize there are many holistic nutritional consultants who have their own business but what about if I just wanted to work for someone to get my working experience? I would appreciate if someone can give me help on this.
