I had the Mirena inserted 4 1/2 years ago and everything has been fine (light periods etc.) with no side effects. A few months ago I started having some issues that I thought might be due to a hormonal imbalance or early menopause-I'm 41 yrs. old. I developed Acne cysts under my chin that won't go away. I've been to a plastic surgeon and he says they need to be removed. I took a pregnancy test because my breasts felt like they did when I was pregnant and milk came in. I went to an endicrinologist who tested for excess of prolactin because when she did breast exam fluid was discharged. Also tested thyroid and both were normal. Now, I am thinking that maybe the Mirena is messing with my hormones. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? Thanks so much
