The Tango advert relates to the latter experience. It happened in an instant, but seemed to last an infinity. The slap was the unexpectedness and shock of it. The expression in the guys eyes is probably representative of what I felt like. The second experience was not out of the body, it was most definitely inside the body.

The dentist experience - well I only thought about it 20 odd years later, at the time it just seemed like one of those things. However I do recall a lot of commotion afterwards, and I was told I could never have gas again as I was "too old" for it. So I did ask my parents recently did they ever have a problem reviving me and it was confirmed that they did in fact have a problem which is why I never had gas again. However I think only myself, and the two dentists, were fully aware of the extent of the problem.
