I have had controlled hypothyroidism for the past 10 years. My medication has only had to be adjusted 3-4 times. For the past several days I have felt as if I were choking when I swallow. It is an absolute horrible feeling. I went for lab work and an u/s today. My thyroid is enlarged. I am having hypo symptoms, but my labs are showing that I am hyper. There is nooooooooo way I am hyper. I diet and excersize and have put on 25lbs in the past year. I was 125lbs last January. I am miserable. I have been running daily, eating 1500 calories a day and I am gaining wait. There is no way I am hyper. The doc suggested that I increase my Synthroid. I am so confused. Can someone please shed some light on this.
