Should I be concerned if I had pets roaming around the same area as the mulch and calcium hydroxide? Would it cause harm to a pet that might lick or stick it's nose in the calcium hydroxide treated areas?

Answer: It will be Safe for the pets as it will react with the Acidity of the ant hill and or Soil and become Neutralized!
