I'm confused to what some of the uses of silica/silicon are.

It's used as a drying agent (it can dry out flowers pretty quickly and it's used in little packets in vitamins and many other things) and is it the same stuff in breast implants?

Both those uses worry me if I'm going to be eating it.

Anyone know the answers?
