Hi Xenia,
Your question: Hi moreless,
it sounds to me as Norwegian Kelp is a plant on its own.
I thought it was Kelp from Norway.
What I am using is Kelp from the Health Food Store, bought by weight, so I have no label.
They told me it was from Iceland. Is that another plant?
Thank You,
Xenia
Answer: Iceland has two major kinds of Kelp it may supply?
Laminaria Digitata and Ascophyllum nodsum(Rockweed) also known as Norwegian Kelp
The Laminaria Digatata has the Highest amount of Iodine of any kelp and it has a Higher ratio of Potassium to the amount of Sodium.
The Ascophyllum nodsum(rockweed)Norwegian kelp has a Higher amount of Sodium to the ratio of Potassium and Less Iodine than the Laminaria Digatata.
