I had dropped a bench bar on my chest 2 months ago with 22lbs on it (I weigh about 220). I was sore (still recovering) but didn't break anything. Had EKG test and that was fine. However about 3 weeks after incicdent I started experiencing PVC's. I've done 24 holter, another EKG, Cardia Echo, and Treadmill test. I couldn't replicate my "harder" pvc's during those tests although many small ones were recorded. The tests didn't show damage to heart muscle but I have to believe there is a conection. I've noticed whenever I drink even a glass or two of alcohol, I can get like two or three PVC beats in a row. I feel them and it scares me. I also feel tired when they happen. I workout alot (except for chest now) and really want to figure this PVC thing out. Can alcohol or food or Acid Reflux symptoms such as iritation of the vega nerve or diaphram be causing these PVC's? I'm afraid of getting these episodes so intensely. what if I had drank 5-6 drinks? How many PVC's in a row is considered 'dangerous'. My doctor is not taking my problem seriously and I really want answers. I'm 28 years old and can't think of why these PVC's just started now. Should I get a second opinion? Is there medication besides beta-blockers? Any connection to having GERD? Any feedback would be appreciated.
