I'm investigating leaky gut for the first time. I have had numerous incidences of diverticulitis and am curious about recent changes. I take Cipro and Flagyl during bouts. This time, I took only Cipro. Seven days into medication and after feeling wonderful for 3 days, I became ill again. The symptoms were a little different. I stopped taking the Cipro and 4 days later went to the ER where they once ago diagnosed me with diverticulitis along with a urinary tract infection. They put me back on Cipro adding Flagyl. I've been on that for 2 days now and am not doing better yet. I've had diverticulitis over the course of about 14 years. Recently, I was also diagnosed with sensitivity to wheat, rye, barley and oats. I do not use them anymore. Does any of this ring true for leaky gut symdrome?
