I am sorry to hear that you husband is in such bad condition at the moment. I've had Crohn's disease for 10 years and have tried almost everything. The only thing that worked for me was a diet in the book called "Beaking the Vicious Cycle" by Elaine Gottschall. The diet takes a couple of weeks to work, but it works like a champ at getting rid of pain, inflammation, etc. Good luck!
