"The remaining 25% is comprised of dead bacteria that helped us digest our food, living bacteria, protein, undigested food residue (also known as fiber), waste material from food, cellular linings, fats, cholesterol, salts, protein, and substances released from the liver and the intestines (such as mucus)."
and mercury and other heavy metals.
That is, IF the bowel has fiber in it when the gall bladder releases bile. The complexes containing the metals are adsorbed onto the fiber for passage.
But if you don't have any fiber in your gut when your gall bladder releases the organo-mercury containing bile, then the mercury and other metals, if present, get re-absorbed in the lower intestine. Bummer.
That's why those who are hell-bent on chelating with artificial chelators often get nowhere fast, they rarely understand the roles that the bowel and fiber play, rhythms, timing -- rather, they just want to pop pills and rely on the urinary system. Nothing too bloody wrong with popping pills inherently, but it seems like a cop-out to me. Becoming healthy is rarely ever as easy as just taking a pill.
