I can assure you that --- you will NOT die.

I'm not sure where this concept that is associated with the cessation of eating has come from, but people do not die while doing fasts.
See if you can remember a time when you heard about someone dying from conducting a fast.
I'm trying to remember but nothing is coming to mind.
Now try to remember hearing about someone saying something bad about fasting and there is probably plenty that comes up.
So this concept probably comes from what we hear rather than what actually is, which also tells you that there is plenty of misinformation floating around.
