Oh yeah, you're right...the newborn baby got it when she took all those Antibiotics , steroids and birth control pills after being born from a woman with yeast overgrowth. Come on. Use your head. I don't know where you get your information, but a fungus is absolutely transferable. Look at Athlete's Foot. Here:www.buzzle.com/articles/reversing-and-preventing-baby-yeast-infection.html it says: "Certain conditions, including pregnancy, can create the perfect environment for yeast overgrowth. Up to 20% of pregnant women suffer from excessive yeast production. While pregnant or giving birth, through the birth canal, women in this condition can transmit the infection to their child. Babies often have a weak immune system; they can suffer from this condition because of these causal aspects."
If a person (like a newborn) does NOT have enough good bacteria, then they CAN catch thrush. Why do you think women and babies pass thrush back and forth while breastfeeding? Coincedence? Do some research. My gyno, the pediatrician and the homeopath all reiterated that baby and I needed to be treated together or we'd just pass it back and forth, and I found that to be apparent, and that all breast pump parts, pacifiers, bottles, nipples, etc. need to be sterilized because the baby and mother CAN be reinfected.
I would advise you to do some research and stop pretending to know it all about Candida, diet, and the transmission.
