The last two times I had a tooth pulled, I would keep a baby's syringe with me and after eating I would rinse the socket out with warm water and then add 1 drop of atomidine to the socket. I never had any problems with lots of discomfort or pain. Seems to me that lugol's would work also. good luck!!
